Opportunity
We are seeking casual Community Support Workers to join our Lifestyle Choices Teams in Narrandera, Griffith & Leeton. Positions are casual with planned and unplanned coverage; flexible availability including early starts, late finish and some weekends is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Foster an environment that empowers people with disability and promotes community integration.
* Provide support to clients to achieve their goals in volunteer work, communication, creative expression, living skills, community participation, sport and recreation.
* Research, develop and implement activities where clients can participate and develop their skills.
* Provide support to people with disability to look after themselves while enhancing independence and self‐determination.
Requirements
* Current First Aid & CPR training.
* Demonstrated desire to work with people living with disability and a sound understanding of how to best assist them to live a life of their choice.
* Eligibility to hold an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a NSW Working with Children Check.
