Operations Supervisor Role
The role of Operations Supervisor is crucial in overseeing the daily operations of a logistics team. This involves supervising daily activities, allocating tasks and drivers efficiently, conducting performance reviews, and troubleshooting operational issues while ensuring budget targets and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise logistics team members, manage daily operations, allocate tasks, and ensure efficient vehicle scheduling.
* Coordinate training and inductions for new drivers, conduct monthly safety meetings, and maintain driver certifications.
* Manage quarantine and controlled waste operations, including collections, disposal documentation, compliance audits, customer liaison, sampling coordination, and disposal applications.
* Ensure adherence to Workplace Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements per company policy and report unsafe conditions.
* Prepare reports using Google Suite, monitor divisional expenditure, and ensure proper purchasing processes with approved suppliers.
Requirements:
* TAS Drivers Licence.
* Previous relevant industry experience.
* Proven ability to work in a team environment.
* Strong time management skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
