Senior Geologist Position
About the Job
We are seeking an experienced geologist to complement our consulting services in Darwin. In this role, you will provide geotechnical expertise to maintain clients' satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and prepare quotes for potential projects;
* Analyze, design, and solve problems using software such as Slope / W and CIRCLY;
* Provide construction phase advice, inspection, and assessment for a range of building, infrastructure, and landslide remediation projects;
* Plan, coordinate, and conduct field investigations for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects;
* Conduct site inspections, testing, geological face mapping, monitoring services for construction sites;
* Write technical memoranda, letters, and reports to a high standard;
* Engage in business development, client development, and management.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 5 years' professional experience as a Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist;
* A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor Science (BSc) degree;
* The ability to work effectively in a team-based environment;
* Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, and contractors;
* Proven problem-solving and pattern recognition skills;
* High-level computer and writing skills;
* A strong commitment to safety and professional integrity;
* A current Australian driver's license (Class C).
