About National Trust Queensland & The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

National Trust of Australia (Queensland) [NTAQ]) is membership-based, environmental charity which offers people the opportunity to feel connected to significant places, collections, and stories. NTAQ manages a diverse portfolio of heritage properties from Currumbin to Cooktown, which includes one of the Gold Coast's most popular tourist destinations, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. As one of Queensland's earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for future generations.

We have an opportunity for a proven tourism sales professional to join our team as our Senior Sales Manager, supporting the growth of our group, leisure, and education markets. As a driven and engaging Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting core and emerging markets, driving visitation to both Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Astra Lumina Gold Coast.

About The Role

This is a strategic, end-to-end sales leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and brand positioning across the full sales portfolio.

You will take ownership of all sales segments, ensuring a cohesive and aligned approach across domestic and international markets. This includes developing and executing integrated sales strategies that maximise opportunities across group, leisure, FIT, education, events, corporate, and digital distribution channels, while leveraging cross-selling opportunities across key products including Astra Lumina Gold Coast.

A key focus will be aligning distribution, pricing, and market strategies to optimise yield and conversion across all channels. You will manage and grow relationships across the full spectrum of partners including inbound and outbound operators, wholesalers, Online Travel Agents (OTAs), corporate and event clients, and education providers, ensuring consistent and commercially sound engagement.

You will proactively identify new business opportunities across all markets, while strengthening existing partnerships to drive repeat business and long-term value. Delivery of targeted sales activity—including trade shows, sales missions, site inspections, and client engagement—will support brand growth and pipeline development across all segments.

With a strong commercial lens, you will oversee contracting, negotiation, and performance optimisation across all channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demand. You will also leverage data, CRM insights, and market intelligence to inform strategy and continuously refine sales performance.

Collaboration will be key, working closely with marketing, operations, and leadership teams to ensure alignment across the customer journey, from enquiry through to delivery. You will play an active role in mentoring and supporting internal teams, fostering a high-performing, customer-centric sales culture.
