Maintenance Assistant Supervisor
Yancoal MTW is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant Supervisor with strong and proven front line leadership experience for a full-time role.
About the Business
Yancoal Australia Ltd. is Australia's largest pure-play coal producer, operating mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia.
MTW is an open-cut mine located 15 km southwest of Singleton, employing ~1,450 people and relying on dragline and load-haul systems for continuous operations.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Work the Lifestyle (5/4) rotating roster and report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Support the safe and effective execution of maintenance activities for priority equipment across the mining fleet.
Lead, mentor and manage a multi-skilled crew to deliver quality output.
Plan, schedule and coordinate day-to-day work, assigning clear and achievable tasks.
Ensure team engagement through clear role accountabilities and performance measures, providing regular feedback.
Assist with mechanical or electrical troubleshooting as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation of site systems and assets.
Skills and Experience
Relevant trade qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical).
Demonstrated supervisory experience within mining maintenance.
Positive, can-do attitude that positively impacts culture.
Experience coordinating major equipment maintenance.
Effective time-management and prioritisation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Hands-on, solution-focused approach to problem solving.
Proficient in computer systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office suite.
