About the Role
- Encourage resident choice and participation in individual and group activities.
- Assist in the design, delivery and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities.
- Implement innovative events and lifestyle activities, involving community, volunteers, and families where possible.
- Provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assistance with personal hygiene and toileting.
- Provide direct resident care in relation to meals service, mobility and social support.
- Support peers and maintain a cooperative team spirit.
- Work in a secure manner, closely following all policies and procedures to protect yourself, colleagues and residents.
To Be Successful in This Role You’ll Need
- A kind heart and genuine passion for high‑quality care to the elderly.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, Individual Support or similar.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional, appropriate relationships with residents and families.
- A reliable team player.
- Commitment to respecting residents’ values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs.
- Willingness to obtain a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
