A rare and exciting opportunity has opened up for two Modern Apprentices to join the Stirling Council Finance Team as Accountancy Assistants.
This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in public sector finance while working towards a nationally recognised qualification – the AAT Certificate in Accounting (SCQF Level 6).
How accounting works in a real-world public sector organisation
Skills in preparing budgets (revenue and capital)
How to compile grant claims and financial statistics
Use of IT systems and finance tools
Teamwork and communication in a professional environment
Higher Maths and English (or equivalent)
A genuine interest in finance, numbers, and learning new skills
Willingness to work hard and grow in a supportive team
