About the Role
The Senior Safety Business Partner – Systems and CRM leads the organisation's Critical Risk Management (CRM) program and Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring high‐risk activities across transport, warehousing and shipping are effectively controlled and assured.
This role partners closely with operational leaders to embed critical risk controls, strengthen safety systems governance and drive practical, compliant and sustainable safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, implementation and assurance of the multi‐year Critical Risk Management program.
* Partner with leaders across Victoria and Tasmania to identify critical risks and embed effective control assurance.
* Develop and maintain critical control standards, verification tools and assurance processes.
* Provide coaching and field‐based engagement to build frontline capability in critical risk execution.
* Own SMS governance, ensuring systems, procedures and standards remain current and compliant.
* Lead safety assurance activities including audits, inspections and risk analysis.
* Provide expert advice on high‐risk operations and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in Critical Risk Management, control assurance or high‐risk operational safety.
* Proven ability to lead enterprise or multi‐site safety initiatives.
* Sound knowledge of WHS legislation (VIC/TAS), ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
* Experience with incident investigation, risk assessment, safety systems and audits.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within a high‐risk environment.
* Diploma in Work Health & Safety (tertiary qualifications desirable).
