About The Role
Position
We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified professional to join our dynamic Financial Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in Council's financial management, working closely with the Director Corporate and Community and the Manager Financial Services to drive strong governance, informed decision-making, and long-term financial sustainability for our community.
This position leads critical financial planning and reporting functions, including maintaining Council's Long Term Financial Plan and integrated planning and reporting (IPR) documents. You will oversee key finance team members, drive efficient financial operations, and ensure robust asset management practices, particularly in relation to capitalisation and asset revaluations.

Tertiary qualifications at degree level in accounting or similar discipline.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of budget management.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of accounting standards relevant to infrastructure, property, plant and equipment.
Demonstrated well developed communication skills, both oral and written.
Proven well developed analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated computer literacy with experience in the use of Microsoft Office and a high level of competency using Excel.
The rewards
An annual salary range of $112,000 to $128,600 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
