Overview
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to join our dynamic team at our current site at East Rockingham, WA.
You will be working hand in hand with the plant’s production department. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining all plant equipment, safely and efficiently.
This is a key role within the site management team and is responsible for maintaining all operating equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance to meet agreed performance targets and statutory requirements.
You will also be responsible for continual improvement in plant and process performance, to achieve best practice in safety, environment, quality, housekeeping, efficiency, and utilization.
Responsibilities
- Foster and promote safe working behaviours and display a commitment to Tyrecycle safety standards and OHS requirements.
- Support the maintenance of plant and equipment – to be undertaken in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and statutory requirements.
- Manage maintenance activities as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and in conjunction with operational needs.
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team.
- Manage external contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, and statutory requirements.
About you
- Understanding of safe work practices and manual handling.
- A hands on leader who leads by example, with ability to supervise and motivate fellow employees.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance in a manufacturing / mineral processing or heavy industry environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Principles and proven experience in managing a proactive preventative maintenance program is desirable.
- A reliable team player with a logical mind and able to work through problems.
- Electrical disconnect / reconnect licence is advantageous.
