About the role
Smith Plant is seeking an experienced Roller Operator to join our team on a major project in Casino, NSW. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a range of compaction equipment including smooth drum rollers, padfoot rollers and multi tyre rollers, The successful candidate will be part of a 12-month road / industrial subdivision project for a government client.
What you'll be doing
* Operating smooth drum, padfoot and multi tyre rollers on roadworks and subdivision projects.
* Carrying out daily pre-start checks on machines.
* Completing some labor tasks onsite when not on rollers as directed by the site supervisor.
* Helping with site set out, levels and collecting paperwork from deliveries.
What we're looking for
* Minimum 1 years' experience on rollers
* Must have a RII roller ticket and white card
* Be fit and willing to help on the ground throughout the day assisting the site supervisor completing a wide variety of tasks.
* With near new equipment we are looking for someone that will look after our machines including greasing / daily plant checks and keeping the doors shut.
* Having experience on watercarts and tip trucks would also be advantageous but not necessary.
