Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical engineering and project management, with a strong foundation in design acceptance and technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide mechanical engineering services for the development or modification of equipment, systems, structures, and materials.
* Manage and develop the technical team to provide engineering output and technical support.
* Coordinate between various stakeholders on design changes.
The successful candidate will be an integrated member of the team, providing technical and project management leadership and oversight. They will develop a thorough understanding of ship and shore systems and design and develop solutions to resolve engineering issues.
Requirements:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering, or Marine Engineering.
* Demonstrated experience working as a mechanical engineer with experience managing projects and people.
* Demonstrated experience undertaking design review and oversight activities throughout the engineering process.
* Ability to communicate and operate effectively within a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
* Past experience in naval/maritime is highly advantageous.
* A current NV1 Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
* Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations.
