OverviewThe B2 Technician will be responsible for carrying out on and off aircraft maintenance safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspection and maintenance co-ordination for the PTS East Sale Defence operations.ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is carried out in accordance with Pilatus/OEM approved publications/instructions using approved parts supplied from approved sources;Ensure that all maintenance is correctly and appropriately documented and certifiedEnsure all entries and certifications for work undertaken is completed and certifiedEnsure all data, release notes and certificates of conformance for components and parts used during servicing or maintenance are accompanying the respective work sheet/work packageCarry out inspection and maintenance co-ordination and certificationEnsure compliance with all Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins relevant to the aircraft and prior to expiry of their complianceSupport ADF operations through deploymentBe utilised in support of day, evening and Flight Line maintenance crews to maximise aircraft safety and availabilityEnsure correct training and certification prior to carrying out workUndertake Certification for release to Service (CRS) functionsDirect to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor, items that are beyond the scope of authority of the B Technician, as outlined in the PTS procedures, processes and policiesAssist with defect analysis and investigations and complete 'defect reports' as requiredWork with minimal supervision and direct A-Level technicians and ground handlers as required during the execution of tasksWork with the Crew Leaders to foster a sense of 'Safety First' within the technical workforce and ensure all OH & S/WHS requirements are adhered toBe trained in, and conduct, limited ejection seat maintenance activitiesEnsure Ground Support Equipment (GSE) is serviceable and report any defects or deficienciesReport and raise any observations, through the appropriate process, with regard to continuous improvement, safety management and customer satisfactionCarry out aircraft washing and associated corrosion control inspectionCarry out aircraft towing, repositioning and refuellingCarry out flight line activities including flight servicing's, replenishments and marshallingWork with the Quality and Aviation Safety Manager in the maintenance of Quality and Aviation Safety responsibilities including participation in audits, technical investigations as it applies to 'Human Factors in Maintenance'Actively participate in the Quality and Safety Management System applicationsBe dedicated to exceeding the customers' expectations and delivering an efficient operation, whilst maintaining a safe environmentDemonstrate commitment and compliance with all applicable Company Policies and Procedures, including the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and provide ongoing promotion of Jet Aviation values.Positively represent Jet Aviation as one company with internal and external stakeholders.Other duties as may be assigned to you in support of operational requirements in discussion your People Leader.What will help you to SucceedCertificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)Demonstrated understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements for Aircraft Maintenance, both civil and military (Part 145)Be able to obtain a DASA Part 66 LicenseHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalentBasic English language skillsGood communication skillsAbility to work under minimal supervision, as well as part of a wider teamCommon courtesy and customer orientationAbility to work flexible schedules (inclusive of deployments with aircrafts as required)Ability to work in various weather conditions as well as meeting minimum physical requirements of the jobWhy Jet Aviation?
