Position Overview
We are seeking to employ a professional and values-aligned person to join our Operations team, starting in April 2026, to assist us by ensuring our facilities and outdoor areas are well maintained, performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing minor repairs, and ensuring premises remain safe and presentable.
A permanent part-time position (16 hours per week over multiple days of the week) is available. The position is based in Coffs Harbour, with travel between Coffs Harbour and Bellingen required at times.
Key Responsibilities
As our Grounds and Maintenance Officer, you will:
* maintain lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and seasonal clean-up
* perform minor building maintenance tasks
* operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment
* ensure all work is carried out safely and complies with WHS standards
* assist with event set-ups and clean-ups as required

Essential Criteria
* Proven experience in groundskeeping, gardening, or general maintenance, including use of associated equipment
* Proficiency in landscaping and horticultural practices
* Valid NSW Driver's Licence for travel between sites
* Own vehicle with towing hitch for travel between sites (mileage allowance will be paid)
* Vehicle registration, comprehensive insurance and roadside assistance membership
* Ability to lift, carry and handle heavy objects and equipment
* Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain and cold
* Capability to perform physically demanding tasks such as digging, climbing and repetitive movement
* Ability to complete a basic medical assessment
Desirable Criteria (but not essential)
* Certifications in horticulture, landscaping, or maintenance
* Ownership of a trailer (or this can be supplied)
About The Operations Team
Our Operations team provides support to the whole organisation across all operational areas and plays a crucial role in supporting various functions, including (but not limited to) admin, logistics, IT, safety and risk management, and overseeing our organisational vehicles.
