Senior Security Engineer – Trellix ePO

Duration - Initial 6 months contract with potential extension
We're looking for a highly experienced Senior Security Engineer (Trellix ePO) to help uplift and mature our organisation's endpoint security posture across a complex, regulated IT and Operational Technology (OT) environment.
If you're a hands‑on Trellix expert who loves architecture, engineering, automation, and driving real security uplift at scale—this one's for you.
What You'll Be Doing
Architecture & Engineering
* Assess and optimise Trellix ePO, ENS, EDR/XDR, policies, handlers & repositories
* Design multi‑site ePO architecture (HLD/LLD)
* Integrate Trellix with AD/Entra ID, SIEM/SOAR (Splunk, Sentinel, Helix), ServiceNow, vulnerability scanners
Deployment & Operational Ownership
* Manage ePO upgrades, extensions, policy governance & handler optimisation
* Engineer advanced ENS policies (Exploit Prevention, ATP, Web Control, Firewall)
* Lead large‑scale agent deployment & health remediation
Detection, Response & Automation
* Tune ENS/EDR/XDR detections aligned to MITRE ATT&CK
* Build T3 investigation workflows & integrate with IR processes
* Automate via ePO API, PowerShell & Python
Governance & Compliance
* Map controls to ASD Essential Eight & ISM
* Develop runbooks, SOPs & operational documentation
* Establish policy governance & change‑control processes
What You Bring
* Experience in endpoint security engineering (enterprise / critical infrastructure ideal)
* Deep expertise in Trellix ePO, ENS, EDR/XDR, agent handlers, repositories & automation
* Strong scripting in PowerShell and/or Python
* Experience building HLD/LLD architectures
* Integration experience with SIEM/SOAR + identity + ITSM/vulnerability tools
* Solid understanding of Essential Eight, ISM & security governance
