Overview
Success Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of School Psychologists for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. Success PS is located in the City of Cockburn. Approximately 583 students are enrolled in the school, with 72 in the education support program and 511 in the mainstream program. About 20% of children come from homes where English is an Additional Language (EAL/D). The school has purpose-built facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, a sensory room and a gymnasium. The school psychologist will work in close partnership with our student services team, supporting students in our mainstream and education support programs to contribute to a coordinated and inclusive approach to student wellbeing. A thorough understanding of Positive Behaviour Support strategies is essential, with proven experience in case management for students with high-level and complex needs, including those with disabilities.
The Role
Success PS is seeking a motivated School Psychologist to join their friendly team. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to collaborate and work effectively with our leadership team, students and parents. The successful applicant will be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, consult widely, and work effectively as both part of a team and independently when required. Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- hold or be eligible for provisional or general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start
