About the Role
We are seeking an experienced leader to lead our Family and Child Connect program based out of our Armidale or Tamworth Hub. This is a part-time, fixed-term contract position that requires a strong understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities.
The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Community Development related discipline and at least 2-3 years' experience building/maintaining an engaged, high-performing team and developing their capability.
* Lead a team of approximately 5 Case Managers and Community Development Workers, providing high-level stakeholder management and representing the organization locally.
* Provide clinical support around practice skills and knowledge, maximizing outcomes for staff and clients through collaboration.
* Foster and support a positive, collaborative, and outcome-focused team culture, modeling and guiding team members on setting professional boundaries with clients.
* Use expertise to provide advice and assistance to team members in assessments of risk, safety planning, and trauma-informed decision-making for vulnerable children and their families.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* At least 2-3 years' experience in people leadership, program leadership, and practice leadership in the Community Services sector.
* Strong understanding of child protection issues, client vulnerabilities, and the impact of trauma on child behavior and development.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, ever-changing environment.
