About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing success of our brand-new Novotel Sydney Cabramatta, located within the Cabra Vale Diggers Club. This role offers a chance to shape the hotel's identity and build a thriving business within a dynamic community setting.
Key Responsibilities :
* Strategic Leadership & Financial Management : Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the hotel achieves maximum profitability and return on investment. This includes managing annual capital, cash flow, sales, and marketing plans; analyzing financials; and utilizing technology platforms to drive revenue and market share.
* Pre-Opening & Ongoing Operations : Oversee all aspects of the pre-opening and ongoing operations of the hotel, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal operational efficiency.
* Team Leadership & Development : Build and lead a high-performing team. Develop succession plans, set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Foster a positive and engaging work environment that aligns with Accor and the Diggers Club's service philosophies.
* Guest Experience & Service Excellence : Implement strategies and programs to ensure exceptional guest experiences that consistently meet or exceed expectations. Maintain brand compliance and standards.
* Community Engagement : Build relationships within the local community, engaging with key business leaders, local officials, and community groups to ensure high-profile exposure for the hotel and foster a strong community presence. Promote environmentally conscious practices.
* Risk Management & Compliance : Implement risk management procedures to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with licensing laws, WHS regulations, and company policies.
Skills & Experience :
* Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 5-10 years of progressive experience in hotel management.
* Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
* Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Fluency in English (additional languages are an asset).
