Your new role
As part of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading production crews and ensuring safe, efficient site operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing strong leadership to production crews, fostering a safe and productive work environment
* Ensuring compliance with the Site Safety Health Management System, Environmental Management Plans, and statutory requirements
* Achieving operational targets while maintaining strict safety standards
* Leading and participating in daily pre-start and safety meetings
* Completing and submitting Safe Act Observations (SAOs) in line with site processes
* Building, mentoring, and maintaining high-performing teams
* Monitoring production performance and maintaining accurate operational records
What you’ll need to succeed
* Proven leadership experience within an open cut mining operation
* Strong knowledge of current WHS legislation and statutory requirements
* A flexible and adaptable approach, with strong problem-solving capability
* Ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members
* Excellent communication and reporting skills
* Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
