The Opportunity
Step into a pivotal executive leadership role as Head of Commercial and Market Development, shaping the future of ARRC Gold Coast at the forefront of innovation, infrastructure, and impact. You’ll drive commercial growth by leading high-value partnerships, attracting investment, and executing robust contract strategies. Your leadership will be central to unlocking new markets, generating sustainable revenue streams, and positioning ARRC as a national champion of the circular economy. Key Responsibilities – Make your Mark
High Performance Teams: Provide high-performance, visionary leadership—shaping and executing ARRC Gold Coast’s long-term commercial strategy while building and leading a top-tier team that drives accountability, innovation, and value creation.
Commercial and Contract Leadership: Lead all aspects of commercial and contract management, developing and negotiating high-value agreements under rigorous governance, risk, and compliance frameworks to ensure sustained performance.
Partnerships and Business Development: Cultivate strategic partnerships and investment opportunities that accelerate business growth, innovation, and regional economic development. Secure funding and ventures that advance ARRC’s circular economy and deliver measurable impact.
Market Innovation: Position ARRC Gold Coast at the forefront of the national circular economy by anticipating market trends, driving innovation, and diversifying revenue streams.
Collaboration and Representation: Drive cross-functional collaboration, aligning commercial objectives with City of Gold Coast priorities. Represent ARRC at the highest levels, excelling in stakeholder engagement, complex contract management, and championing sustainability and innovation.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a dynamic commercial executive with a proven record in high-performance leadership, strategic partnership-building, and commercial contract management. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, an innovative mindset, and experience driving growth and value creation in complex environments. You excel at leading top-tier teams, forging impactful partnerships, and navigating sophisticated market and contract negotiations, all while championing sustainability, accountability, and ARRC Gold Coast’s ambitious organisational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Law, Environmental Science, Economics or a related discipline
Minimum 15 years’ experience in senior leadership roles across commercial strategy, contract negotiation, infrastructure, or sustainability
Demonstrated success in delivering public-private partnerships and high-value ventures within sectors such as waste, energy, or advanced manufacturing
Skills & Attributes
Sharp commercial acumen and a strategic mindset with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes
Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with influence at board and government levels
Strong understanding of circular economy principles, emerging markets, and sustainable business models
Ability to translate vision into action, creating long-term value through innovation, investment, and collaboration
