The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Leading Hand to support our growing portfolio of commercial projects. You will work closely with the Site Manager to coordinate trades, ensure safety compliance, and maintain momentum in office. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily site activities on commercial builds
- Supervise subcontractors and direct labour to maintain quality and efficiency
- Ensure strict adherence to WHS and site safety standards
- Interpret construction drawings and ensure compliance with specifications
- Manage materials, deliveries, and site cleanliness
- Provide clear communication between trades, suppliers, and site management
- Help drive timelines and deliverables on multi-trade commercial sites
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Leading Hand or senior tradesperson in commercial construction
- Solid trade background (e.g. carpentry, formwork, or general construction)
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and standards
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades in a high-activity site environment
- White Card and relevant trade qualifications
- Driver's license and reliable transport
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
