**Your role**

The role of Casework Manager is all-embracing, it requires you to have an indispensable mix of knowledge, skills and values that will enable you to empower, mentor and provide strategic direction to a team of Caseworkers and Casework Support Workers. Your role will make a difference to improve the life experiences of children, young people and families
**What you'll do**
**Inspire**: Lead, coach, mentor and empower your team to deliver concerted casework that respects the culture and context of every person we support
**Develop**: Create a team culture of continuous learning and professional development, ensuring practice knowledge and skills are contemporary and evidence-based
**Respond**: Make judgements on risk and client allocation in complex and challenging situations and ensure a high standard of service is provided to children and families
**Prepare**: Prepare and review legal documentation, briefings and correspondence on care and protection issues
**Collaborate**: Contribute to operational issues and change management strategies to support the agencies goals and objectives
**What we're looking for**
- Extensive experience working with children, young people and families in a child protection context
- Knowledge of the Child Protection sector, relevant legislation, regulations, standards and industry trends
- Leadership and management experience including management of workplace culture, performance management and effective people management
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Social Welfare related discipline
- A current valid driver's licence
- A Working with Children clearance (before starting in the role)
