The purpose of this role is to provide purposeful leadership and direction to create a high performing team environment, providing oversight and management of operational/strategic activities in line with divisional objectives. To enable this, the Leader must adhere to the Best Practice Leader rituals and routines across all key accountability areas.
In this role you will demonstrate the ability to manage positive relationships to co-ordinate activities; meet and maintain required standards and demonstrate continuous improvement in the execution of all business processes and initiatives.
You must provide outstanding leadership through role modelling, consistent coaching at all levels to strengthen skills and productivity; and drive activities that build team engagement and employee satisfaction.
What You'll Do
Create a plan to drive performance of the team and/or create claims segment plan that delivers team results against the divisional strategyMotivate, develop, empower and engage team members to drive results and create a high performing teamManage day to day workflow; resources, productivity and efficiency, ensuring performance objectives are metManage and resolve any complaints received by the department where escalation is necessaryMonitor team and departmental results (within an operational excellence framework) promoting individual ownership of performance and developmentCollaborate and engage with Technical Advisor and Injury Management Advisor to identify and implement technical development opportunities for team members.
What You'll Bring
Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a team of people with the ability to lead, engage and motivate othersDemonstrated experience in claims management, personal injury claims or an associated field is desirableWorking technical knowledge of business area however, not the primary source of technical support for team membersFinancial knowledge sufficient to interpret and analyse reports relevant to area of responsibilityAbility to provide strong leadership to “lead’ your team to achieve individual, team and divisional goalsAbility to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships.
