The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player committed to student success. The successful applicant will:

Apply strategies for differentiated instruction within the Science curriculum under the guidance of a collaborative leadership structure, including a dedicated Head of Learning Area who provides mentoring around curriculum and instructional strategies.
Embrace the Whole School Instructional Model featuring components of an Explicit Direct Instruction methodology.
Actively participate in shaping and promoting the school's values, vision and priorities throughout the entire school community.
Reflect on teaching practices and commit to evidence-based decision making and differentiation.
Qualifications
Eligible teacher qualification and registration.
High school teacher experience, ideally with a background in secondary Science.
Knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and ability to teach General Year 11 and 12 courses.
Advantage: ability to teach lower school Mathematics.
Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Consent to a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

Mobility Appointments
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school, may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment.
At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
Note that South West teachers are not eligible to move to another South West school under this trial.
