Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a Mining Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the Technical Services Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mine.
* The successful candidate will provide engineering expertise to develop initial productivity assumptions based on historical performance and data considerations.
* You will utilise production modelling tools to schedule mine outputs for the following 12-month period.
* Additionally, you will contribute to the production schedule to be optimised (development, longwall and gas drainage) based on maximum and minimum floats.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Developing panel planning standards prior to the commencement of each.
2. Undertaking mine optional assessments covering the range of possible operating cases in consultation with the Senior Mining Engineer and Technical Services Superintendent.
3. Supporting the preparation of a detailed mine plan showing location of existing and proposed driveheads, tripper drives, sumps, pump stations, overcasts, substations, shafts, drift, longwall installation and recovery roads, proposed gas drainage, roadway and pillars.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering (or related).
* Experience in a productive, contemporary longwall coal mine.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
