Our organization is seeking compassionate Support Specialists to provide vital assistance to individuals with disabilities in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment. This role demands flexibility, including working varied shifts and assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal planning, and community connections.
* Supporting individuals with skill development, including housekeeping, personal care, social skills, and budgeting
* Providing accompaniment during daily activities, such as going for a walk or accompanying to an appointment
* Maintaining relationships between individuals and their family, friends, and service providers
Candidates must possess empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in a team environment. A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous, and previous experience working in a SIL environment or supporting people with complex disabilities will be highly regarded.
