Metal Roofer (Lead Hand) – Full Time

Dayman Roofing Pty Ltd is a small, growing roofing business seeking an experienced Metal Roofer / Lead Hand to join our team on a full-time basis in Sydney, NSW. We specialise in roof replacements and repairs across residential and commercial projects, and we pride ourselves on quality workmanship, reliability, and strong team culture.
This role suits a skilled tradesperson who enjoys being hands-on, can lead metal roofing jobs on site, and is keen to become a valued, long-term member of a close-knit team. You will also be willing to work alongside the team on tile roofing projects when required.
What you'll be doing
* Lead and supervise metal roofing projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safe work practices
* Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
* Measure, cut, and install metal roofing materials including steel, aluminium, and copper
* Carry out roof replacements and repairs on both metal and tile roofs
* Assist and work with the team on tile roofing projects when required
* Repair and maintain existing roofing systems
* Coordinate daily tasks with the team to meet project deadlines
* Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, building codes, and company standards
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years' qualified experience as a Metal Roofer or similar role
* Lead Hand experience with the ability to guide and support a team on metal roofing jobs
* Strong practical skills and attention to detail
* Willingness to work across both metal and tile roofing projects
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Proficient with hand and power tools used in roofing
* Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
