About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective delivery of electrical asset inspections and works associated with traffic signal infrastructure.
You will be responsible for identifying complex operational/technical problems, including traffic flow or congestion issues, and rectifying faults within KPI parameters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Electrical Asset Inspections: Ensure specialised expertise is effectively applied to provide program delivery outcomes during electrical asset inspections and works.
* Installation and Maintenance: Installation, testing, and maintenance of traffic signal infrastructure, Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) assets, systems, and equipment to ensure quality standards.
* Traffic Signal Equipment Maintenance: Identify traffic signal equipment malfunctions and faults, and rectify these within KPI parameters.
* Specialised Software Knowledge: Acquire knowledge of specialised management software, including SCATS, STREAMS, CCTV, and other control systems to monitor road network conditions and traffic signal assets.
* Fault Management System: Utilise and constantly update the Traffic Signals Maintenance fault and defect management system Reflect, to respond and rectify reported signal and other asset issues.
Requirements:
* Licenses and Certifications: Current Electrical Practitioners Licence, A current drivers licence, Open Cabler Accreditation and Fibre Endorsement (desirable).
Working Conditions:
This is a permanent, flexible basis position up to 73.5 hours per fortnight.
