Casual Female Disability Support Workers – Spinal Cord Injury Support
We are seeking 2 compassionate female Disability Support Workers to support a 31-year-old female client living with a spinal cord injury and managing autonomic dysreflexia. The client is an independent wheelchair user who requires assistance with transfers and daily living tasks.
About the Role:
* Provide safe and respectful manual transfers
* Support management and prevention of autonomic dysreflexia
* Assist with daily living activities and household tasks
* Promote independence and wellbeing
* Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals as needed
Shifts Available (Applicants must be available for at least two of these shifts per week)
* Monday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
* Wednesday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
* Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
Pay Rates (SCHADS Award – Level E3.1 Casual):
* Base hourly rate: $35.15
* Afternoon shift (ends 8pm–midnight): $38.67
* Active night shift (starts before 6am or ends after midnight): $39.37
* Saturday: $49.21
* Sunday: $63.27
* Public holiday: $77.33
About You:
* Experience supporting people with spinal cord injuries
* Skilled in manual handling and transfers
* Knowledgeable about autonomic dysreflexia and appropriate responses
* Empathetic, patient, and committed to person-centred care
* Hold current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and WWCC (VIC) or equivalent
