Are you looking to start a new career in the fire industry? Kimberley Fire Systems (KFS) has an exciting opportunity for a Trades Assistant / Trainee Fire Tech to join our team.
What will you do?
Assist with routine servicing, testing, installation, and repair of fire systems and equipment in accordance with Australian Standard requirements.
Working alongside our General service, Dry fire (electrical) and Sprinkler fitting trades in this field-based role, with regular remote service runs throughout the Kimberley region.
Assist with maintaining a neat and organised workshop, and stock control
This is a casual position, with full training provided and progression to full time available to the right candidate

Motivated, reliable Broome based junior applicants and handy tradespeople looking for a career change. We are looking to add another passionate team member, who takes pride in the work, and shares our company commitment to always deliver the best possible service.
KFS run a paperless operation, the successful candidate must be competent with using tablet/mobile phone apps.

Key requirements
- Reasonable level of fitness
- Willingness to work away from home on a regular basis (minimum one week a month), and occasional weekend work.
- Current manual C class drivers’ license is essential, truck and forklift tickets would also be advantageous.
- Well presented with excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to comply with various site WHS policies including Police clearances, White Card and Medicals.
