* Greet and engage consumers, families, and visitors in a friendly, respectful, and inclusive manner
* Support the delivery of structured group-based activities including arts and crafts, games, music, sensory activities, gardening, cultural or seasonal programs, and other approved wellbeing activities
* Encourage patient participation, creativity, self-expression, and positive social interaction during group sessions
* Support patients to engage at their own pace and ability level
* Provide appropriate conversation and a listening ear within established volunteer boundaries
* Assist with setting up, packing away, and maintaining activity materials, equipment, and spaces
* Support outdoor, gardening, or nature-based group activities when scheduled
* Work cooperatively with hospital staff, the BIRU Recreation Team, and Estara representatives (SRU) to support safe and effective activity delivery
* Ensure patients have adhered to relevant infection control procedures during visits
**Special requirements:**
* Have the physical ability to undertake the duties in a safe manner
* Complete a clear and current NPC screening check
* Comply with Work Health & Safety and Infection Control requirements
* Comply with SA Health Immunisation guidelines
* Complete all annual mandatory training requirements
