OverviewHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Telecoms Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
This position is based in Brisbane, Australia.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement communications projects that incorporate radio sites, IP nodes, solutions for voice and data communications, fibre optic and copper-based transmission systems, power supply systems, and related ancillary systems.Develop high level and detailed design documentation for various projects.Hands-on work including equipment configuration and integration on multiple routing and switching equipment.Participate in factory and site testing and commissioning activities.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues.Skills & ExperienceCCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP qualified Network Engineer with minimum 10+ years' experienceAn engineering degree enabling full membership to Engineers AustraliaExtensive experience in Cisco routing and switching technologiesStrong understanding of IP/MPLS, BGP4 and OSPFStrong project experience with the ability to manage priorities and multitaskDemonstrated experience in engineering report writingExperience working in the Rail sectorWhat we offerBe part of a Global Company that offers a great work life balanceMany opportunities to progress your career with training and development availableSalary Continuance InsuranceEqual OpportunityAt Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
