This isn't your standard payroll role; it's a position where you'll genuinely influence outcomes and modernise how payroll is delivered. Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties will include:
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end payroll processing of a fortnightly payroll for salaried and waged staff
* Master data employee detail changes
* Month-end and year-end reporting, reconciliations and compliance reporting – superannuation, payroll tax and workers' compensation
* Auditing and strengthening governance and compliance through improved systems and controls
* Business partnering with operation leaders to proactively support payroll queries
* Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to assist with streamlining payroll processes, via maximising the use of UKG and Payroll Metrics
Your Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience managing an end-to-end Payroll within a manufacturing or multiple roster pattern complex environment
* Confidence in Award/EBA interpretation
* Solid systems capability, UKG (Workday) and Payroll Metrics experience is highly regarded
* A mindset geared towards improvement and innovation
* A collaborative style and excellent communication skills
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
