Aurōra Life is a rapidly growing online telehealth medical cannabis clinicthat seeks skilled and compassionateGeneral Practitioners and Nurse Practitionersbased in Australia to join our telehealth team.
As an Aurōra Life prescriber, you have the flexibility to set your own hours and conduct patient consults from the comfort of your home. You will be supported by a patient care team, clinic manager, and hands-on directors who handle administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care. Our dedicated, purpose-built systems are designed to enhance your efficiency and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct telehealth consultations with patients experiencing chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia and other TGA-approved conditions.
* Prescribing and managing plant medicine treatment plans.
* Maintaining clear clinical documentation within patient medical records.
* Build positive rapport and a judgment-free environment in a telehealth context.
* Eagerness to learn new skills and to immerse yourself in the plant medicine space.
Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking Doctors and Nurses with an interest in medical cannabis prescribing and have an ongoing commitment to the Aurōra Life team and patients.
Requirements:
* Medical Degree
* AHPRA registration with Nil Restrictions
* Medical Malpractice Insurance covering telehealth
* Have or be able to obtain a Medicare Provider Number
* VR or non-VR GPs are welcome to apply.
* Must be based in Australia (we do not offer the ability to work from overseas).
* Current ABN required.
* Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced and agile environment.
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop therapeutic treatment plans incorporating medical cannabis therapies.
* Prior experience in prescribing medicinal cannabis is highly regarded but not essential - we provide comprehensive training and support.
* Support for SAS B applications and becoming authorised prescribers will be provided.
Additional Requirements:
* Valid and unrestricted registration as a General Practitioner in Australia.
* AHPRA registration and ability to prescribe Schedule 8 medication.
* Knowledge of medical cannabis and its therapeutic applications is desirable (training provided for suitable candidates).
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide empathetic care and explain complex medical concepts to patients.
* Fully remote role - work anywhere in Australia.
