About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled Dance Teacher to join our coaching family. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside another passionate Dance Teacher to deliver high-quality dance training to athletes of all ages and levels.
The Role:
Develop and lead competitive dance teams that will represent us at local and state competitions. You will also be responsible for choreographing routines that meet scorecard criteria and preparing athletes for competitions.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging, technically strong, and age-appropriate dance classes
2. Choreograph competitive routines that meet scorecard criteria (training provided)
3. Prepare athletes for local and state competitions
4. Work collaboratively with the coaching team to grow and strengthen the dance program
5. Maintain a fun, inclusive, and encouraging training environment
6. Build positive relationships with athletes and parents
7. Support athlete development both technically and personally
Requirements:
* Experience teaching or coaching dance (all styles welcome – jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, or pom)
* Ability to work independently and uphold high standards of training and performance
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Commitment to athlete wellbeing, progression, and enjoyment
* Availability for weekly classes and competition travel (Sydney-based events)
* Current Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain)
* First Aid Qualification (or willing to obtain)
* Ability to provide two work references
