Let's talk about you 
Over 3 years' technical networking experience, preferably within an ISP or large Enterprise. 
A willingness for self-directed learning. 
Good understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPv4 and IPv6, CG-NAT, MPLS, IPSEC, Segment Routing, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, EVPN, VRF, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS) 
Good active(devices) and passive(fibre) network troubleshooting skills 
Understanding of network design. 
Relevant vendor certifications, e.g., Cisco CCNA, Juniper JCNA, Fortinet NSE, ITIL 4, Network Security certs.
Experience with Cisco ASR9k routers, Cisco NCS routers, Juniper routers, EVPN, EIGRP, Fortinet firewalls, Fortinet CG-NAT and Corero DDoS Protection.
Experience with network monitoring and ITSM (event/incident/problem/change) systems and tools, e.g. LogicMonitor. 
Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF/ISIS/MP-BGP 
Experience with MPLS technologies such as LDP/SR/SR-TE/RSVP-TE 
Experience with peering, transit & content management, preferably within an ISP environment 
An understanding of the NBN network including point of interconnects and various access technologies 
How will you support our \"Why?\" 
With your existing networking and security capabilities, you are an essential member of the Network Operations Centre team who are on a mission to operate, maintain and assure the ABB network to give our customers an unrivalled experience when connecting to their digital world 
Daily activities include: 
Performing core network and security processes: 
Monitor and Event management for proactive identification of network or security issues. 
Network and Network Security incident management for resolution within SLA targets. This includes performing jeopardy and escalation duties, PIR (Post Incident Reviews), and identification of continual improvement opportunities.
Network Change Enablement duties to plan, communicate, execute, and support network maintenance and upgrades, perform Planned Change Reviews (PCRs), while managing risk to our network and customers.
Problem Management duties to identify and treat problems both proactively and reactively. 
Request management duties to ensure any requests are actioned within set OLA targets. 
Performing proactive identification of risks and threats to network security and resiliency, and work cross-functionally to treat and resolve. 
Collaborating, creating, and updating technical knowledge documents such as processes, playbooks, work instructions and knowledge articles. 
Proactive identification and actioning areas of Continual Improvement across the network and processes.
Work closely with major stakeholders, including but not limited to, Network Engineering, Provisioning, Products, Residential Customer and Corporate Support teams on incident management, request fulfillment, network problem management, change enablement, projects, and new product rollouts.
