About the Role:
- You’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire doors, passive fire protection systems, and related equipment while delivering high‑quality service to a diverse client base.
Our client is open to candidates who:
- Already work in the fire protection industry, or
- Are qualified Carpenters keen to upskill and gain nationally recognised fire safety qualifications.
- Must Have QBCC License and QBCC trade qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair fire doors, fire shutters, passive systems, and related equipment.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and defect reporting in line with Australian Standards.
- Recommend upgrades and provide repair quotations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and procedural requirements.
- Travel as required and participate in on‑call rosters.
About You
- Qualified Carpenter (QLD trade qualification or equivalent).
- QBCC Doors and Passive Stream licence highly regarded.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards (AS1851, AS1905) desirable.
- Experience in fire doors or passive systems an advantage (not essential for new starters).
- Current driver’s licence.
- Ability to work versatile rosters (5/2, 4/3, or 7/7).
- FIFO, DIDO, or local options available.
- Coal Board Medical, Standard 11, and site inductions are advantageous.
