About the Role
DroneShield is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the team in Adelaide, South Australia. The position will report to the Embedded Hardware Manager within the Sensors and Effectors Team.
The role of the Sensors and Effectors team at Droneshield is focused on providing fully operational and qualified modular devices to enable new product development of high-end RF based sensors and effectors.
* Collaborate with other engineers on the design of new products and become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team. Consistently review and improve existing product lines, refining them for quality and performance.
* Communicate with suppliers to support the procurement process and enforce quality control procedures.
* Design, prototype, and test new/existing products.
* Employ sound industry practices for documentation and quality control.
* Manage workload (prioritisation) and workflow to meet key business objectives.
* Use Altium for schematic and PCB design, including maintenance of component database and document templates.
* Design hardware for manufacturing, EMC and reliability.
* Validate high-speed digital and RF interfaces using test equipment.
* Develop manufacturing test specifications and support production setup & debugging.
* Plan and execute validation of hardware design on both a modular and system level.
* Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it remains organised.
