The Role
Based at our Yennora site, we have multiple Permanent & Casual positions for experienced Tradespeople & Trade Assistants, working a 4-day week from Monday to Thursday in our Specialised Vehicles manufacturing division.
These roles involve working on a variety of vehicles; including manufacturing and assembly of Fire Trucks & Ambulances as well as other Rescue and Emergency Response vehicles.
Requirements
Preferably be trade qualified in a mechanical and / or electrical trade relevant to vehicle building, assembly and manufacturing, or a relevant trade with transferable skills.
These trades include, but are not limited to: vehicle body builders, vehicle assemblers, motor mechanics, fitters & turners, auto electricians, refrigeration mechanics, or other trade that requires an equivalent skillset, with experience in mechanical and / or electrical assembly, fit-out, body building, maintenance, repairs or refurbishment of automotive vehicles, boats, railcars, caravans, motor homes, lifting equipment, or related products.
This includes applicants from the building industry with an associated trade and experience in mechanical or electrical fit-out / assembly.
If you are not trade qualified, you must have at least 3 years of experience working in a relevant trade position (as outlined above).
All Applicants Are Able To
Have the ability to read and interpret technical instructions and follow basic procedures for the assembly of automotive vehicles.
Be able to work effectively both independently or as part of a team.
Demonstrate a high quality of workmanship and attention to detail.
Be physically capable, and able to perform repetitive tasks – lifting, bending, twisting.
Successfully complete a pre-placement medical including D&A testing.
