Occupational Therapy Locum - Maternity Leave: Minimum 60 hours per fortnight - up to 12 months - to start April 2026
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is located on the fringe of Newcastle and is close to the Pacific Motorway, vineyards and university. We are an independent 83 bed facility with a five theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation and surgical services. Hunter Valley Private Hospital is accredited by the ACHS and has a dedicated focus on providing quality healthcare to our patients.
The Occupational Therapy Locum Role
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Team to fill a maternity locum position for up to 12 months.We are looking for a highly skilled individual to bring their energy and experience to our friendly team. Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a new challenge? Do you have experience adopting a client-centred and goal-directed approach? We would love to hear from you.
You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that provides evidence-based rehabilitation for a range of caseloads including neurological and orthopaedic inpatient and day only rehabilitation patients.
Requirements
* Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
Essential Criteria
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
· Current driver's licence
· Minimum of one-year clinical experience
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in the role of a rehabilitation occupational therapist
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
