We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Chef and Senior Chef to join The Maraboon Hotel as we expand our team. The Role:
As a Chef/Senior Chef, your daily responsibilities will include:
* Assisting our team in maintaining an efficient and proactive kitchen operation.
* Ensuring all meals are of high quality and are prepared in a timely manner.
* Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu.
* Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures.
* Develop innovative menus and ensure culinary excellence (Senior Chef only).
* Manage kitchen operations, including inventory and cost control (Senior Chef only).
* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
Successful Candidate:
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:
* Previous experience within a fast paced commercial kitchen.
* Previous experience in a leadership role in a commercial kitchen (Senior Chef only).
* Availability to work any hospitality hours.
* Ability to work well under a high pressure environment.
* Brilliant communication skills to all team members.
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
