The Opportunity
The Boeing MQ28 - Ghost Bat is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years.
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the integration, verification and test of new capabilities associated with the MQ-28 Ghost Bat. This role will focus on the development of unique ground support equipment to facilitate our expanding operations.
As an experienced Senior Systems Engineer you will:
* Lead, develop and document integration and verification strategies for assigned MQ-28 sub-system hardware and software elements.
* Collaborate to develop design solutions that meet the capability objectives and requirements of the MQ-28 System.
* Lead and develop verification requirements, test plans, procedures and reports.
* Coordinate, prepare and present pertinent design reviews.
* Coordinate, plan and conduct integration and formal verification testing.
* Support ground and flight test operations for the MQ-28 System.
* Develop engineering documentation (Specifications, Design Documents, Interface Definitions, Test Procedures, etc.) to support hardware and software design and integration.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 7 years' experience in complex technical development and integration projects.
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical or Mechatronics that satisfy the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust) or equivalent technical experience in a Systems Engineering discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in systems and software development lifecycle.
* Demonstrated experience in integration, verification & testing.
* Experience with aircraft avionics and UAV systems (desirable).
* Familiarity with engineering change processes.
* Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS) and Model Based Systems Engineering methods (highly regarded).
* Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (highly regarded).
* Experience with application of ASD Information Security Manual (ISM) controls (highly regarded).
