Context
1Logic is the response to the real-world challenges with inventory, warehousing and asset management. Our AIMS product uses patented (pending) RFID technology and is underpinned by responsive cloud and mobile software. With the product now at MVP stage, with several diverse clients, 1Logic is building a team that can take this solution to new Australian clients and the world.
Purpose
This position will lead the development and maintenance of web-based and mobile solutions for 1Logic, initially as a sole developer working alongside established contractors, and later as a key leader in our growing software development team.
Key Duties
* Lead development of cloud-based web applications using modern open-source frameworks including Django, Rust, Python, PSQL and open-source UX libraries.
* Lead development of Android mobile applications (Koitlin) focusing on 1Logic's patented RFID technologies.
* Development of interoperable integrations between 1Logic's AIMS system and ERPs including NetSuite, Syspro and Jim2 amongst others.
* Strengthen engineering processes and standards for software development, task management, work tracking, peer review, QA and code management.
* Mento junior developers as the team grows; providing technical escalation and oversee development sprints.
* Establish robust CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and containerisation.
* Lead the identification of technical debt, including rearchitecting where appropriate to evolve the product into a scalable, market-ready platform.
Qualifications
* 7+ years in open-source web development; 3 years Android development.
* Appropriate tertiary degree preferred.
* Strong communication skills, with software team leadership experience.
* Agile mindset.
* Immediate eligibility to work in Australia
Work Arrangements
This position is required to work on 1Logic's Mackay office, with support for regular work from home days after the first month.
