* Salary range: $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
* Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
* Provide advanced clinical care within the Emergency Nursing specialty area.
* Implement relevant components of the Nursing education operational plan at ward / unit / or program level.
* Facilitate progression of staff through the EPIQ program, including completion of clinical and written assessments, marking, and providing feedback
* Provide clinical leadership in more complex situations and the selection, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes.
* Provide bedside teaching and supervision of clinical practice.
Requirements:
* Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
* Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
* Highly Desirable: Extensive experience in Emergency Department and a current Adult Life Support certificate.
* Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
* Commitment to completion of Quality projects within the Emergency Department linked to a National Standards. Maintenance of CN portfolio.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
