What You'll Be Doing
Every day, you'll play a vital role in creating meaningful moments for people with disability by:
* Delivering person‑centered support that reflects each individual's goals and needs
* Encouraging independence and building daily living skills
* Supporting community access: outings, activities, appointments, and more
* Promoting social inclusion and helping people stay connected
* Bringing your energy, respect, and commitment to every interaction
What You Bring
You're someone who genuinely cares — and it shows.
You'll have:
* Experience partnering with people with disability and their families
* Skills in implementing personalised support plans
* Confidence using strategies for emotional regulation and positive behaviour support
* Experience helping individuals engage fully in daily living
* A positive, team‑focused attitude with the ability to work independently
* Solid computer and report‑writing skills
* A current First Aid certificate (issued within the last 12 months)
What You'll Need
* Minimum 2 years' disability support experience
* Australian citizenship or unrestricted working rights
* Driver's licence + own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
* Manual handling training (desirable)
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
* Additional disability‑related training (e.g., finger spelling, autism support) — highly regarded
* Mental health experience — desirable
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module
* WWC Check / DCP Check (as required)
* Identitywa highly recommends COVID‑19 and influenza vaccinations
