The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Research Fellow to join the School of Mathematics at Euro-Math-Soc. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a research project focused on developing and analysing novel nonlinear, multiphysics, and multiscale PDE systems modelling the electromechanics of heart and torso.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will engage in advanced numerical discretisations for multiphysics PDEs, with emphasis on mathematical and computational aspects of problems with dynamic interfaces.
* Research Objectives:
* Develop and analyse novel nonlinear, multiphysics, and multiscale PDE systems
* Employ numerical techniques and models to deliver predictive tools for patient-specific simulations of cardiac function
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely under the guidance of Professor Santiago Badia and Professor Ricardo Ruiz Baier
* Disseminate results through specialised research articles and technical presentations
Requirements:
* PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a related field
* Strong theoretical background in numerical approximation of PDEs using finite element methods
* Expertise in efficient implementation of algorithms
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in analysis and implementation of finite elements and similar methods
* Knowledge of computational models for biomedical applications
