Taylex is looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to run our warehouse, stock control and dispatch operations safely, accurately and efficiently. This is a practical leadership role—ideal for someone who can lead a small team, own inventory integrity, drive process improvement, and still jump on the forklift or help with pick/pack when required.
About the role
You'll take end-to-end accountability for daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking/packing, dispatch and returns—ensuring we consistently meet customer and carrier cut-off times.
Key responsibilities
* Run daily warehouse operations end-to-end: receipting, put-away, replenishment, pick/pack, dispatch and returns.
* Lead and coach a small team: allocate daily work, train to SOPs, support onboarding and day-to-day performance.
* Own inventory accuracy: receipting discipline, cycle counts, stock adjustments, discrepancy investigations and corrective actions.
* Coordinate dispatch & freight: book carriers, manage collections, ensure correct packaging/labelling/documentation, resolve delivery issues.
* Manage returns / warranty / non-conforming stock: RMAs, quarantine & disposition, system updates and root-cause actions.
* Lead stock counts and coordinate with Finance (including weekend counts where required).
* Support ERP/WMS processes including daily finished goods production entries matched to dockets, internal sales order processing, and month-end review of open sales orders with Sales Support.
* Drive WHS and compliance: safe forklift/MHE operation, traffic management/manual handling controls, hazard/incident/near-miss follow-up.
* Continuous improvement & reporting: implement practical improvements (5S/flow), maintain checklists/SOPs, and report core KPIs (on-time dispatch, pick accuracy, stock variance, damages/claims, receiving turnaround).
About you
You're a practical, detail-driven operator who leads from the front and thrives on running an orderly, high-accuracy warehouse. You're confident coordinating priorities across receiving → storage → pick/pack → dispatch, and you're comfortable working with systems and basic reporting.
What you'll bring (essential)
* 3–5 years' experience in warehouse operations, logistics/dispatch and inventory control (or similar).
* Proven performance in pick/pack accuracy, on-time dispatch and stock integrity (cycle counts, stock adjustments, discrepancy investigation).
* Experience improving warehouse layout and processes (5S, bin location management, workflow redesign).
* Experience in a hands-on role across receiving through to dispatch.
* Strong computer literacy (ERP/WMS, email, Excel).
* Forklift licence (LF).
* Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations (as listed in the JD).
What we offer
* A stable, hands-on leadership role with real ownership and impact.
* A practical improvement environment—5S, flow and KPI-driven operations.
* A close-knit team and cross-functional coordination with Sales Support, QA and Finance.
