Employment Type: Full-time (Includes Saturday shifts)

About the Role

GD Building Supplies is a rapidly growing building material provider with multiple locations across Queensland. We are seeking an experienced

Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager who is a specialist in the tiles and flooring trade centre.

This role is not just about retail; it is about providing expert technical support to builders and tilers while maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the level of the role (Manager or Assistant), your duties will include:

* Operational Leadership: Managing daily opening/closing, store presentation, and safety standards.
* Inventory & Technical Control: Maintaining 100% inventory accuracy and conducting weekly stock analysis.
* Sales & Trade Support: Managing key account relationships and resolving technical or delivery-related queries.
* Purchasing & Authority: Preparing order proposals and managing supplier communications.
* Warehouse Coordination: Directing warehouse staff for stock counts and verifying incoming deliveries against POs.
* Compliance: Ensuring all customer signatures and documentation are archived for 12 months.

Requirements

* Industry Experience: Proven experience working in a Tiles or Flooring Trade Centre is essential.
* Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of tiling accessories (e.g., tile adhesives, waterproof membranes, screeds, leveling systems) and flooring accessories (e.g., underlay, scotia, trims).
* Forklift License: Must hold a current LF Forklift License and be confident in loading/unloading trucks.
* Availability: Ability to work a roster that includes Saturdays.
* Systems Literate: Experience with inventory management software and sales data analysis.
