Mental Health Clinician

Wellbeing and Primary Mental Health

About the Role:

The Mental Health Clinician provides evidence-based, recovery-oriented counselling and therapeutic interventions to support the mental health and wellbeing of individuals accessing the Wellbeing and Primary Mental Health Service. The role focuses on early intervention, short to medium-term therapeutic support and the promotion of positive mental health outcomes in a safe, inclusive and culturally responsive manner.

Key responsibilities include:

* Deliver high-quality, person-centred counselling and psychological support to individuals, couples and families
* Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, develop collaborative care plans and regularly review goals and progress with clients
* Contribute to service evaluation, quality improvement activities and the development of resources that enhance client outcomes and service delivery
* Participate actively in individual and group supervision, reflective practice and continuing professional development
* Actively participate in mandatory meetings as required and requested

Qualifications/experience required:

* Tertiary Qualification in counselling, psychology, social work and or a related mental health discipline
* Registration or Eligibility with a relevant professional body, PACFA, AASW, AHPRA, ANZCATA
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
