Offer description

* Organising key year group events, including:
o Scheduled year-level assemblies
o End-of-Semester Awards Assembly
o Week 10 Good Standing events each term
o End-of-year cohort celebration
o Advocacy and reward initiatives
o Supporting student wellbeing through pastoral care and engagement activities
o Assisting teachers with the implementation of student behaviour plans in the classroom
o Participating in case conferences with students, parents, and external agencies when required
o Collaborating with Heads of Learning Area, classroom teachers, and families to support student success
o Conducting enrolment interviews and preparing new student timetables
o Managing course changes and behavioural referrals
o Monitoring student behaviour and progress using the school's data systems, including overseeing the Good Standing process

Release Time: Year Coordinators receive an additional 0.3 FTE release, with positions reviewed annually.

The ability to teach Digital Technologies, Physical Education and AUSLAN is desirable but not essential.

We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Year Coordinator for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. There are currently three full time permanent positions available, with student services role reviewed annually.

Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The Role

Make a Lasting Impact as a Year Coordinator at Cannington Community College

Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in a vibrant and evolving school community? Cannington Community College is seeking enthusiastic, passionate, and committed educators to join our dynamic team as Year Coordinators.

As a Year Coordinator, you ideally will play a key role in leading and supporting a specific year group, helping to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging school culture. Your focus will be on promoting student wellbeing, supporting behaviour management, and enhancing student engagement through proactive initiatives.

Your responsibilities include:


1. Attending fortnightly SAER (Students At Educational Risk) meetings and maintaining accurate records
2. Assisting in the development and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans and other relevant student plans
3. Referring students to appropriate intervention programs
